Antique Rocking Chair

This rocking chair has been in my family since my great grandparents as far as I know.  The only mark on it is a faint eagle etched in the backrest with an "M" in the middle.  I have taken dozens of pictures and the mark is extremely difficult to photograph and hard to see in the picture.
