History When war was looming overhead in 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth toured Canada by train to improve relations. The trip was a huge success. Thousands of Canadians came out to cheer, and hopefully catch a glimpse of the royal couple. This image, which was recently discovered, was taken by official CN Railway photographer William H. Robinson at Jasper Park Lodge in 1939.
