Description

11" porcelain electric table lamp, brass base.  Colors bright, vines and flowers in greens and oranges.

Category Lamps and Chandeliers
Medium ceramic or porcelain with brass base
Distinguishing marks none
Condition Excellent
Size and dimensions of this item The lamp without the harp and socket, is 11" high, 4" at the widest point.
History The lamp belonged to my parents, not sure if it was a wedding gift or family heirloom. The pictures really don't do the colors justice. There is crackling in the vase, but it appears to be made that way, the finish is smooth.

Your lamp uses a Oriental Vase for a pedestal, most of these date from the second quarter of the 20th century. The vase could be modern or antique, chances are very good there is a mark on the base of the vase, but you'd have to take the lamp apart to see it. values for them depend a great deal on identfying the vases vintage, something that requires a physical examination for a marking and construction details.

I took the lamp apart, and updated this with 2 photos.  So the pedistal was originally a vase?  Can you date it from the info in the bottom?

Thanks so much!
