Description
Chinese silver bowl, has a Dragon design with 3 legs in the shapes of dragons. Really awesome looking piece. I know the WH in the mark signifies Wang Hing, and the 90 signifies the purity of the metal if I remember correctly. I'd like to know more about this piece and how much it's worth. I have yet to find a duplicate of this item on the internet, and have only seen a couple of other WH bowls with dragon designs, but nothing as exotic looking as this one.
The bowl is in excellent shape, the only thing with it, is that it's tarnished. I didn't want to clean it and possibly affect the value of it.

Do an image search for Wang Hing, you will get an idea ofvalue, it looks like its valuble.
Re: Chinese Silver dragon design bowl, Wang Hing, WH 90 mark.
Thanks for the link. I was only offered $385 from the guy who replied, which I felt was a little insulting, even melted down and sold purely for the silver itself, it'd go for $350+ for 16 ounces, and this is more than 16.
Thanks again.
Re: Chinese Silver dragon design bowl, Wang Hing, WH 90 mark.
I saw several bowls about that size with dragon feet, not as ornate as yours for way more money than that. I also think you are suppose to keep silver clean, with that being so tarnished you might want to take it to a pro to clean it. Wouldnt want to damage it. Its gorgeous !!!!
Re: Chinese Silver dragon design bowl, Wang Hing, WH 90 mark.
Good idea. Where would be the best place to go to get a professional who knows how to clean it? I'm assuming a jewelry store?
I've been searching a few auction sites, and it seems the price can range between $1500 and $3500 for bowls similar to this. If it wasn't a pierced bowl (I think is the term it's called), and had normal feet to it, I could probably get a more finely tuned estimate, but this one is the most exotic design I've seen from this WH company.
I'm just trying to cover my bases, and research everything I can before I make a sale.
Thanks again for your input.
