Description
Not to sure what these may be worth, please help.
they are 3 1/2 inches tall. on bottom says made in USA and sterling Silver. some letters or something in middle I can't make out! (Maybe S.C.S.O.) they are light as a feather.
they are the tiniest set I've ever seen. I tried to see if the top came off to refill but it doesn't look like they open, that or I'm to scared to try harder in case I may break them doing so.
Dont' know anything on these any info will help? Thank you for taking the time to look!
Re: Tiny Silver salt and pepper shakers 3 1/2 inches
They look like they date from the first quarter of the 20th century, they generally are hard to open because the salt causes corrosion in the threads of the screw tops. Sometimes soaking them in hot water will loosen the tops . Silver has a high melt value right now and a lot of pieces like this are worth more for their metal content than their value as a collectible item.
