There is scrolling along the side and as a border on top. There is also a flower motif in the center around the monogram. It is black with a dull sheen and very heavy. It still has the velvet back and divided insert, although the velvet is worn in places. It had a key which got lost a long time ago. The mark is an anchor over a crown, and a band around the mark saying Derby Silver Co, Quadruple Plate. There is also a 1 above the mark with 4315 under it. Does that mean 1 of 4315?

I inherited this old jewelry box that was given to my father by an elderly woman for whom he would do odd jobs around her home. We lived in New York but I'm not sure where she lived. This is a silverplate item, well silverplated four times item. It is most likely late 1800s or early 1900s, it's a nice piece as far as silver plated items go. $100-125 to the right person, maybe a bit more at the right large auction.
