I purchased this hat pin many years ago from a local antique shop. I am very curious to know what it is worth. It looks like it is made out of a Barber Half Dollar. Someone spent many hours on the details.
Unfortunately there is not much value here. If the barber was more complete it would have a higher intrinstic silver value. It appears the coin was in extremely rough condition from the get go. If you are to simply value the pin for what it is without any artistic views or attachments its a two to three dollar item IMO. Someone might pay more because it looks cool but who knows, good luck.

Maybe I was a little low, theres probably atleast $5 in silver i suppose, it should go for ten to fifteen to the right person.
