Sea Chest with wood bindings, painted interior

Description

This is a 19th century sea chest out of Pirates of the Carribbean.  It is really beautifully shaped with a rounded top and two inch wood bindings circling the chest. The wood bindings are secured with decorative metal brackets and there is a large metal lock.  This interior is heavy white paper like material painted with Scandinavian designs. Inside the heavy top, the underside is painted a deep rose with Roses painted and a heavy, maroon leather pouch attached.  I have stored blankets in it for years but it won't fit in my studio. It appears to be the real thing, is very beautiful and I can't believe it doesn't belong in a museum somewhere.

History My aunt saw someone dumping this in the 60s and somehow got it home, polished it up and gave it to me. I've had it ever since in my house storing blankets. It won't fit in my studio apt now. I love it, of course, and think it should be in a museum!
