Description
I bought some cups at a yard sale, the lady said she got them in an estate sale. I don't know what the maker is as there is no marks in the bottom. I think they might date to before 1891 as I do know they didn't put them on much before then. They have gold filagree on them, I was told it is 14 kt. One is well used, the others have a chip in each.
Re: China Cups
Based on the images they look like earthenware/ironstone and were very low cost items when they were sold, I doubt they predate WW1. The lack of a marking does not always mean they are any great age, some low cost sets had paper or foil labels originally. As for value, waht you paid is about what they'd go for as part of a box lot at auction.
