Description
it's a dish that had pretty atwork on the exterior of the bowl, doesn't have a base or legs to stand on, somewhat looks like a codpiece. it is made of silver. someone told me it may be a tiffany dish. it's about 10 inches long, 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep. it is shaped like a gondola.
Re: identify and appraise this item please!
I'm afraid it isn't Tiffany. All Tiffany works are always clearly marked as such. Can you please upload a few more photos? It's hard to appraise something from one upside down photo. Is there any markings on the piece such as sterling?
Re: identify and appraise this item please!
I'm with fishwacker on this, we need more information and images to determine exactly what you have. If there are no markings to indicate its silver content it's highly unlikely to be silver, unmarked pieces are nearly always silver plated.
