Long Description
I purchased this epergne at an estate sale. It is sterling silver and I believe it's Tiffany but the hallmark is so worn it's hard to tell. Bottom is numbered 11671 so if it's Tiffany I believe it dates to 1893-1894, Other than a small dent in the silver it's in perfect condition and no chips on the glass insert. I currently have it listed on ebay but I would like to know what you think it's value is. Total silver weight is 8 oz.
Thank you

Re: Is this a Tiffany Sterling Epergne Vase and Whats the value?
I would be very hesitant to call this a 19th century tiffany piece. Retail value is about $50 under what you paid, I don't see any profit.

Re: Is this a Tiffany Sterling Epergne Vase and Whats the value?
What kind of any answer is that? How would you know how much I paid? Kind of a rude reply if you ask me. In todays market the value in silver weight alone is $160. Clearly you have not researched Tiffany hallmarks.
Re: Is this a Tiffany Sterling Epergne Vase and Whats the value?
My apologies for my response, I just realized that you think I paid $249.99 for it, that is what I listed it for on ebay. I paid considerably less for it at an estate sale. I thought you were trying to tell me it was worthless.
Re: Is this a Tiffany Sterling Epergne Vase and Whats the value?
Tiffany marked their items very well. From that date and before it should read "Tiffany&Co." ....under that it should have numbers then "makers"  then more numbers, under that it would say "sterling silver", under that more  larger numbers.  It has always been well pressed into the silver. Good luck.Â
