I have the original cerificate of authenticity with the box number on it certifying it's place in the handnumbered edition of "The Nutcracker" first issue in the Russian Ballet Musical Artbox Collection.
Re: Ardleigh Elliott & Sons Music Box
ally....music boxes are very collectible and this one is very nice...as a ltd. edition, with your certiifcate, I would put a price on it of $100-125.....I'm not fond of limited firing days as you have no idea of how many were actually made in that period and it could be in the 1000's or even more.
Re: Ardleigh Elliott & Sons Music Box
Thank you nekonook. You have been so nice. I wish you lived near Kingsport, TN and I could visit your store. You really seem to know your stuff. I don't know how you hold all that knowledge. You must have a very large brain. I really appreciate all your help. Where is the best place to sell music boxes? Do antique stores by them? The antique stores around here don't seem to pay much. They only offered me $10 on the antique mirror, brush, & comb set I had. Anyways, thanks so much for all your help.
Re: Ardleigh Elliott & Sons Music Box
There are 2 just like this one on ebay for sale at $39.99 and less. I saw a few more that had registration numbers up into the 97,000's, so they did make quite a few. Pretty box.
