Liberty Quarter

By Jopeck, 27 September, 2012
Description

I would like to know the value, if any, of this Liberty quarter. I found this coin, and having never seen one before, had to look up what it was.

Re: Liberty Quarter

Standing liberty quarters were made from 1916-1930. In dealing with coins there are two values, the base value of the metal, and any additional numusmatic value from the coins collectibility. Unfortunately this particular quarter is what is known as a cull (heavily worn), on a scale of 0-70 it rates at about a 5 or 10 and it will carry very little if any premium over the metal value, which is about $6.

Re: Liberty Quarter

Thanks so much. I didn't think it was worth anything due to its pathetic condition, but $6 is better than its face value!
