alabaster horse

This is a muscular horse in a rared up position on it's hind legs. It has a very full mane and tail. It appears to be alabaster although I am not certain of this.  The base is gray marble.  It has the inscription on the base of the horse A. Santini.

I purchased this at an antique mall in my home town of Madisonville Ky.
