Chinese porcelain vase showing the 12 zodiac animals. It has a red qianlong mark (4 characters , double red squares) at the bottom, chinese characters at back (seems like a poem), and is about 17 1/2" - 18" in height.
you ahve alovely vase but it is most likely not of the Qianlong period. This mark was used extensively throughout the 20th C to "confuse" collectors. You would be best to take it to a specialist to have it authenticated. Most Qianlong era peices would have more age to the peice and have crisper "handles." But it is a nice vase regardless and should be in the $200-300 range.

Re: Chinese porcelain vase
Thank you for providing me with some information. By any chance, could you help in translating the Chinese poem at the back of the vase to English?
