I just purchased this set of China at an estate sale. The family said their father dug it up in the sand on a beach in the far east while stationed there during the war, then brought it back to the states with him where it's been displayed in a china cabinet ever since.

Meakin used this marking from 1912, the design looks to date up to the early 30's. values for Meakin sets tend to be modest, as they mass produced earthenware for the Export market.
