Re: Arnold Belkin signed print 1962 & Jose Hernandez...
Please any informations better than none. I know they were both in Misrachi Gallery in Mexico City in 1962.
Re: Arnold Belkin signed print 1962 & Jose Hernandez...
The artists include Jose Hernandez Delgadillo , Mexican, (1927-2000) and Arnold Belkin, American, (1930-1992).
Pricing for paintings by known, but not very well known artists is all over the board and greatly depends on what an auction crowd is willing to pay on a given day. Going solely off of prior auction records, Hernandez works appear to be selling for $150-300 and Belkin works from $400-$1500. I would advise taking them to a local art gallery familiar with Southwest/Mexican art for their opinions. Again, values for paintings like these really can be $100 one day and $1000 the next so you never know, they have to roll across the auction block. Finding buyers for art outside of a retail gallery (which command prices regular sellers can't come close to) can be a real challenge, not an easy sell or sure thing. Thanks for sharing.
