Handcraved walnut antique chair. i believe was made in 1800's.  The chair was recovered at some point and time.

Your chair is walnut and is in the "Eastlake style", made circa 1880, While not mass produced in the modern sense of the term they were produced in large numbers by most furniture makers in the eastern USA and Southern Ontario, Canada. Values tend to be modest for them as the demand for Victorian furnture has been in decline for the last twen years. We see these go at auction for less than $60.00 these days.
