Description
A carved mahogany coat rack with solid brass hooks. It has holes at the top, which make me think that it was initially part of a larger piece of furniture. It has no identifying stamps, signatures or anything else on it.
A small portion of the carved detail is missing on the right hand side.
Bought last week at an antiques store in West Vancouver. Would love to know its age, possible origin, as well as value.
Re: Mahogany coat rack with brass hooks
It looks like a made up piece, using parts of a Edwardian hall tree ( 1901-1914). What you paid is about what we'd retail one of these for.
