Zippo Lighter

By patinkw, 3 January, 2013
Description

During the 1950,s and into the 60's my Mother worked for Rothman's of Pall Mall on Orfus Road in Toronto Ontario.

Sometime during that period she was presented with this Zippo Lighter.  I do not know what the occasion was.

Prior to receiving the lighter, her Superior asked her to sign her name on a blank piece of paper.  Not knowing what it was for, she complied and shortly after that she was presented with the lighter.

As Mother was a smoker, the lighter has been used but has been in storage, unused for the past 30 plus years.

It's overall condition is good with the usual amount of scratches from use.

It has the Rothman logo engraved on one side and Mother's signature of the other.

Re: Zippo Lighter

Unfortunately its probably not worth much, I may be able to give you some better idea of the date if you can tell me what marks are on the bottom.

Re: Zippo Lighter

On the bottom of the case is Zippo (r)

To the left side of the "Z" there are two dots, side by side

Under the (r) there are 4 dots, 3 in line and one centered underneath

No other markings are present anywhere

Hope this helps
