Description
I've got one antique silver spoon dated from 1849. As far
as I know the spoon was made as a memorabilia for Gold rush in San
Francisco,USA, 1849. Its got the picture of the Panorama of San
Francisco and the Santa Barbara Mission building. I'd like to know
whether I can sell the spoon or not, and the price. Is there anyonw else who know how to sell the spoon and the price
Re: Antique Silver Spoon dated from 1849 California Gold Rush...
the upper picture is the back of the spoon and the lower picture is the front side of the spoon.
Re: Antique Silver Spoon dated from 1849 California Gold Rush...
About $12.50-$15 realistically if it is sterling, nothing that would command over melt outside of a Californian gift/antique shop- in that limited retail case it would probably have a $20-$25 pricetag.
Re: Antique Silver Spoon dated from 1849 California Gold Rush...
If it's Sterling it will be marked "Sterling" or "925". Todays melt value for sterling is $18.06 based on the weight you provided. Retail on these varies a great deal, about $25.00 and up if it's silver. I suggest checking Ebay and see if you can find a match .

Notice I said realistically... lovejoys information is correct, but you won't be finding a buyer paying full melt values for sterling anywhere. Good luck.
