Description

"I bought this painting 8 years ago at a yard sale from a older man and my son wants to know more about it and who the artist is I tried to look it up and I have had no luck. The signature on it says ArLine 85. The only markings on the back is Fredrix 16
and archival reference saying (the artist quality canvas is protected against acidic deterioration. the raw fabric has been  treated to remove excess textiles sizing and other buffered sizing of neutral or slightly alkaline pH protects the canvas fibers from direct contact with the final priming The canvas is suitable for permanent painting in oils and acrylics)"

We get a lot of paintings like this here for valuation, but the fact of the matter is most paintings really need to be physically appraised to determine what you're dealing with. What I can tell you is a great many paintings with just a last name signature tend to be "Decorator Art" of a type sold by Art Wholesalers through department stores and decorator outlets. Values for art like this tends to be very modest in the secondary market without a professional appraisal.
