Description

No markings or name on this piece, but was also handed down through family... would just really like to know a maker and year...any ifo would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

There is not much chance in tracking down a maker, pieces like this were generic to many furniture makers from about 1850-1875. Most pieces like this were made in Small factories that began to operate on water and steam power from the 1840's onwards all along the Eastern Seaboard of the USA and Southern Ontario Canada. Values peaked Victroian furniture it in the 1990's and has declined since then.Pieces like this now sell at auction for less than $250.00.
