Princeton Mug and Yale Mug- Glouskin and Fox, New Haven, CT

Description

I bought an older home which was occupied by the same married couple from the time it was built (late 1930s) until 2009 at which time the widow died, the husband having died back in the 1970s.  There were a few items left here in the house and these mugs were part of the lot.  I do know the husband had been in WWII and later was a pharmacist.  I do not know if either had gone to Princeton or Yale as their families were from South Carolina and that is where they lived here in the house.  Any info as to circa or worth would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Princeton Mug and Yale Mug- Glouskin and Fox, New Haven, CT

Oops!  After I uploaded the pics I see the Yale mug is Glouskin and Fox, New Haven, CT; the Princeton mug is C. A. Waite, Princeton, NJ.  Also, as far as selling, I would be interested depending on value.  Thank you for looking.

Hi - I collect antique Yale items and haven't seen this particular one before. I would date it earlier than you think, probably 1910s or 1920s.

This site has something from a similar time period for $225.

This site is also a good one to check for similar items, although it can be difficult to search, you should be able to get a rough value:
