Wash Basin and Pitcher, The pitcher and basin arer matching with an eggshell white background and the pitcher has the numbers 1896 on the bottom. The pitcher is beautifully hand painted with two pink roses upright in panels on the side of the pitcher with single pink roses lying laterally and repeated around the base. Excellent condition gold hand painted accent around the upper rim, onto the entire handle and underneath the handle at the top. In addition, there is a scalloped second hand painted accent below the spout and top of the where the handle joins the upper edge.
The basin is also in excellent condition and hand painted with gold in a two arched repetitive pattern around the upper inner edge and the same pink roses all around the inner bowl under the arched gold design.
The set comes with its beside table which holds the bowl in a cut out area for it. The table has been painted a pale green at some point in time and is no longer in its original wood tone. It has towel racks on either side. There is a single shallow drawer under the bottom shelf with a white porcelain pull and at its tallest point at the top of the backsplash is 32.5 inches.

Your set looks like a reproduction, most of these were made during the 1980's when the demand for original Victorian wash basin sets went through the roof. The majority of the originals will have some sort of company marking, the repro's often had paper or foil labels which have been removed. Chances are good you could find a match for your set on Ebay, the repros often sell for less than $100.00.
