Approximately 8 1/4" hand mirror.  Appears to have a gold overlay. Handle feels hollow.  Mirror area is quite heavy.

I forgot to add that in areas where the gold has worn away it looks sort of white-ish/gray-ish underneath.

Anything with gold or silver content will have markings to indicate the precious metal content. Mirrors like this one were often electroplated in silver, brass or bronze, the plating often very thin and tended to wear quickly. We'd retail one like this for less than $25.00.
