Satsuma Vase Lamp

This is vase which has been mounted to use as a table lamp.  The electrical was originally done sometime between 1920-1939 but has been replaced since then.  The shade is not original.  The lamp belonged to my parents who obtained it when my paternal grandparents died.  My grandfather was a jeweler in Manhattan and had access to these types of decorations.

I would like, if possible, to verify if it originally a Satsuma vase and if so, approximately what time period was it produced.

The entire lamp with the shade is 33 inches tall. The vase section of the lamp is 12 inches.
Date Period
As a lamp, it was given to my grandmother between 1920-1938. I don't know how old the vase itself is.

History
My grandfather, a Russian immigrant (1887-1982), was a jeweler in Manhattan. He bought this vase and had it mounted and gave it as a gift to my grandmother sometime between 1917-1939. When my grandparents died, the lamp was given to my mother. It has been rewired and the shade is not original.

My mother has moved into assisted living and given the lamp to me to sell if possible.

One of my friends who works for a fine art auctioneer in Los Angeles says it is a mounted Satsuma vase, but there are no markings because the base has been covered up by the mount, so I don't know if that is true.

Hello,

Interesting story. Vase dates to C.1930 in production and was produced in Japan.

Value would be $200/$300 if the vase hasn't been drilled to make it a lamp. If it has, value would be around $75.
