 THIS JUG IS A LIGHT GREY COLOUR, WITH DEAD RABBITS,PHEASANTS,AND ANOTHER WHIPPET ON IT, BOTTOM OF THE HANDLE HAS A CRACK AROUND IT,BUT STILL ALL TOGETHER, OTHER THAN THE CRACK,IN EX CONDITION.. ON THE BOTTOM THERE IS A NUMBER 64 STUCK ON IT,AND A NUMBER 6 MARKED IN THE POTTERY...

These Hound Handle jugs have been made in a number of forms since the 1840's, in brightly glazed majolica, brown Rockingham glazes and unglazed. Most like this one sell for lessthan $80.00 at auction.

I posted a pitcher a few days ago. I purchased it at the Salvation Army Store. I'm wondering if you would take a look at the post. It's blue and white and signed & dated at the bottom. My gut feeling I'd it's nothing but I can't stop searching for answers either. Any info, even if it's just a place to start would be appreciated. Thank you
