Very interesting piece. This reminds me of Islamic architecture. I don't personally know much about Enrique Linares, but I did find some references that might be helpful about him. I found out that he was born in 1933 and many more details about him and his artistic family from a book titled, "Artists from Latin American cultures: a biographical dictionary" - you can search through the book using Google Books here:

Enrique Linares wasn't born in 1933 that was a different linares family that made puppets Enrique Linares made several plastercast sculptures of the Alhambra in Spain in the mid 19th century I personally owned one of his works they are amazing he also has one in a museum in the uk click the link below for the correct information
