old doll

By Wanda Arnold B…, 14 March, 2012
Description

I was told that it was won in a dollar raffle for my grandma when she was a child

I don't think the hair is original, the dress and panties are made from a gauzelike

material. it feels like it is stuffed with straw, and has very short arms that are

connected together with a wire, it seems to have a crier box in it but does not cry.

it also feels like it is stuffed with straw, and it has weatherbird shoes logo on the

dress.

Re: old doll

Although tattered her hair is original (mohair).  She ws amde by the American Doll Company, circa 1920's. Follow this link to a doll reference site and you'll find the information you are looking for.

Hope this helps.
