Dolls

By falconbeliever, 13 February, 2010
Description

This item was found in a box lot purchased at a country auction some years ago. The head is plastic with a very expressive face. The clothing is made from silk. The buttons are definitely very old. The doll even has socks. The only damage is a small chip on the left side of the head. I do not now anything about it or have found nothing in researchin.

Monko the Monkey made by Jay Rue Novelty Company here in the USA.  They made Monko first with a composition head and then with Celluloid..

Re: Dolls

Organ Grinder Monkey Bellhop Doll Red Hat

Monko the Monkey? I can't find any info that Monko and the Organ Grinder/Bellhop dolls were made by the same manufacters.. Orgran Grinder dolls in GREAT shape are worth around $100.00.  most Monkos don't have the gloved hands.

As for the Teddy Bear.. Not sure. could use a lot more photos on both. any markings at all.
