(2) Sets of 4 Nesting Tables

By TOM MORIN, 13 March, 2014
Description

Received these 2 sets of Nesting Tables due to a death in the family. This family member traveled the world and I am sure these must be hand made and maybe one of a kind. Want to know the value? Thanks Tom

Re: (2) Sets of 4 Nesting Tables

Hi Tom,

I picked up a very similar set of nesting tables at an estate sale of a couple who were world travelers.  Found a  drawer in the smallest table.  In the drawer was a metal label indicating it was purchased at Salomon's in Panama and paper labels indicating the sales price in 1950 was $275 and the tables were made in Hong Kong.

Were you able to determine what they are worth?

Thanks!

Marjorie

George Zee Carved Oriental Nested Tables  first let me say I'm not saying this what you have yet...Ok?.  Look real close and see if metal tag was removed.should find two small holes near the large part of legs. Prices for these are all over the place, but if we can say forsure its George Zee..price goes up..look real close.more photos. if not. worth? these sell for around $200.00

I found printed numbers in both draws on the smallest table. On the brown set 9183 and on the black set 9734??
