Beautiful Hand Crafted Plate

By CBens, 13 April, 2014
Description

I have this beautiful plate which is hand crafted. I believe it is either Chinese or perhaps Japanese. I am wondering who made the plate. The markings on the back of the plate are very unfamiliar to me. I have searched all over the web for the symbol with no luck yet. If you have any information on this plate please let me know, even if you know the meaning of the  symbol. That would be great! Thank you.

Re: Beautiful Hand Crafted Plate

Japanese, Imari, though low-quality unfortunately. The "symbol" on the back is a decoration and probably has no meaning.
