Re: Indian Pottery
Ok, I am going to say somethings here I hope you don't get upset. First what type of art auction was this? did they claim it was old/antique?. How much did you pay? was leg broken when you bought it? (I'm Native American <Shoshone) 100% not Native American pottery!. The design looks Mexico, and the paint work is very childish, and not well done at all. The white paint for the rim? they or whom ever painted it, didn't even take the time to use clean edges. Did they even sign it?
If I am proven worng here, I am 100% sorry. but if I saw this for sale I would pass 100% of the time. sorry..
"NOTE" when doing something like this, and sharing knowlage, there comes a time when you must be honest with the person that thinks they have something valuable.
Have you ever heard of "Paint Your Own Pottery Clesses"? this reminds of that..
