Description
I inherited this from an aunt & I'd like to get some information on it. The loveseat has a partial paper label on the bottom from Stickley, I contacted them & they told me it was probably sold in a Stickley store, but not a Stickley item.
I would also like to know it's worth. Can you tell me anything about it??
Thank you.
Re: ANTIQUE CARVED WOOD LOVESEAT
There were a number of Stickley's in the furniture business and they were all related. One branch of the family did make furniture that was not just in the Craftsmen style. Pieces like this one date from the turn of the 19th century and into World War One, similar examples appear in furniture catalogs circa 1898. Demand for pieces like this one peaked in the late 1980's along with the trend for Victorian style decorating, values since then have declined drastically. Today pieces like this one often sell for less than $350.00
