Girl with a Bonnet

By yeckhoff, 6 May, 2014
Description

My grandmother has had this painting for over 50 years. I am unable to see an artists' name as the frame is about 2 1/2" wide. It is a very heavy, gold painted, wooden frame ( I am guessing it's wood). My grandmother was from Stockholm, Sweden, however, I do not know if it was aquired there or here in the USA. The frame can only be removed & put back professionally; there is old, brown paper-like covering on the back.

Any insight or information would be greatly appreciated.

If interested in purchasing, please let me know---thanks!

Re: Girl with a Bonnet

Paintings really require a physical examination to determine their vintage, authenticity and properly identify. I'd suggest contacting your local Auction Hall for a reference to a Fine Arts Appraiser

Re: Girl with a Bonnet

Yeckhoff, do you know the diff. between a paintings and prints? Do you have any photos of the back, and hows its hung? 1970s this type of prints were made. If it is a painting I agree with Lovejoy.
