antique silver bowl

Description This was a rare heavy bowl I found that caught my eye in a thrift store there also had a sticker along with the alpha stamp on the bottom as well as some very small engraving in the bottom copper rim. Thanks for your time!

Any item that's made of silver will generally have markings to indicate the silver content. Most silver hall marks indicate when the item was made, who made it and the date.This piece is probably fairly modern, unlikely it predates the 1950's. Most like made in India for the Tourist market, pieces like this generally sell for less than $20.00.
