All four Ferrotypes from the 1860 election

By Mbenton, 16 June, 2014
Description

I've found a lot online about these as individual ferrotypes, but nothing on the value of the complete set of four candidates' tokens. Any idea what a complete set of four 1860 ferrotypes in excellent condition would be? The pictures I took don't do these justice. Here is a link where I found more info...obviously the Lincoln version is most popular.

Re: All four Ferrotypes from the 1860 election

It is my opinion that none of these are original and are all fairly bad reproductions. Note the lack of detail overall, especially in the foilage surrounding the date and the relatively new appearance to the metal.

Re: All four Ferrotypes from the 1860 election

Thanks for the comments! I thought they looked quite new in comparison to others I saw online. They are currently getting looked at by a third party so we'll see what they come up with. Thanks again!
