Berkey & Gay Chest of Drawers

By lambscorner, 25 April, 2014
Description

This Berkey & Gay Chest I believe to be circa 1860-1890 based on the branded label they used during this time period.  It is  two over four drawers.  It is made of solid mahogany and measures 45" high by 45" wide by 22" deep.  The sides are curved.  The drawers have a  center divider and they claimed their drawers were "Dust-Proof".  It is dove-tailed.  Looking at the back it appears that it may have had an attached mirror at one time. The bottom of the drawers have some writing which I am not able to make out.  I do have more detailed pictures if you need them.  Thank you so much!
