Green Punch Bowl

Description

This is a wonderful punch bowl set that I was fortunate enough to purchase at a local auction.

The punch bowl is footed? and the cups have no handles.  I have looked on the internet for weeks to no avail and am in hopes someone can help solve this mystery!  There does not seem to be any visable makers mark.   It does appear to have small bubbles in the glass.

Hi- hard to tell by the pictures but it looks like green depression glass in a pattern called Thumbprint by the Federal Glass Co.  I have never seen a reference that there was a punch bowl in this pattern, but it definately looks like some sort of "thumbprint style" pattern.   Depression Glass often has bubbles in it as well as other funny marks and seams, since it was mass produced in and around the 1930's for the mass market.  It also has some of the markings of a type of fenton glass I have seen.  Anyway, I would start by searching on ebay for active and sold listings in green depression glass punch bowls....hope some of this helps.  Good Luck and enjoy!
