Peltrato 90% Pewter Water Wine Pitcher ?? but it looks brass?

Description

I am very confused now as the ones ive found are identical to this but they are stamped 90% peltrao (pewter) mine is not and appears to be brass? any help appreciated thankyou

These are generic items, the base metal often plated in bronze or brass to give it the appearance of being solid brass or bronze. You can test it by taking a nail file and scratching the under side of the base, if the scratch reveals a silvery grey colour under the brass them is pewter or some other base pot metal.
