The marking on your sugar scuttle "EPBM" is short for "Electroplated Brittania Metal" . Brittania metal is a form of hard pewter, which was often used as the base metal for silverplating. The company that made it, "G Loveridge & Co." operated in Birmingham, England during the turn of the 19th Century. Values depend a great deal on the condition of the plating, if the plating is worn the piece really only has decorative value. For one that cleans up well, with no issues regarding the plating, under $40.00.
