This cedar chest was given to me when I was 14 by my grandma it once had a clock in it has some small scrathes and a little damage on the corner
want to know how old it its and what is its value. If I should have it reatored or leave it alone

The vast majority of these chests were made before World War Two (1939), the Lane and Ed Roos chests being the most numerous. Values for them varies by condition, as most tend to exhibit damaged or loose veneer after 80 years of being store in overheated attics or damp basements. Most today sell at auction for less than $100.00, we generally retail one like this for less than $250.00 and take best offer if it sits for too long.
