Hi, does anyone have any idea what this could be? This was recovered from a late relatives home but I have been unable to identify exactly what it is, it's age etc.

Yes, It is a tobacco pipe cleaning tool. My Dad was pipe smoker and I have seen many. I could not tell you the exact age of the item as they have been making them for a while. Most of them were Chromed Steel or Stainless Steel. If it were Sterling it would be stamped "Sterling Silver" somewhere on the item.
