Armstrong Flute and Mystery Piccolo

By cassidystoker, 1 March, 2011
Description

It's an Armstrong flute, serial number 104 5 8394.  I just want to know it's worth.  I also have something similar to a piccolo, but I have no idea what it's called. Do you?  And do you know how much it's worth?  There are no markings on it.

Re: Armstrong Flute and Mystery Piccolo

No idea about your Armstrong flute, but your "mystery piccolo" appears to be just a part of an instrument, looks like possibly an oboe...

Re: Armstrong Flute and Mystery Piccolo

The mystery piccolo appears to be totally open hole. The extra keys are the same as a traditional piccolo. While I have never seen a piccolo like this one as a band director this piccolo should play the same. The fingerings would be the same. I will do some more investigation. Is there a brand name on the piccolo?

This instrument is in its entirety and is not missing pieces. It is a piccolo.
