This is a dresser another yard sale find. It was in rough shape so I refinished it. Some damage to bottom of drawer though the drawers all slide beautifully, very heavy . It's mahogany but unsure if it's red or brown, wood on front is different . Some type of flame pattern
there is damage to the front feet, wheels are also missing
unique hardware though one ring is messing. Hardware is engraved with initials KBC & F728
I have read some hardware was made in England and I am looking for one more to replace the one missing its ring.
My questions are what woods is it made of ?
will I ever find another hardware piece like this , as no one seems to recognize it?
around what would like to know if it has any value as there was damage?
and age?
Unique hardware
Unusually heavy and well made

Re: Berkley and gay dresser
Based on the images it's probably maple with mahogany veneers. The piece is a mix of Art Deco and American Federal, which was a pretty common back in the late 1920's to mid 1930's. It's unlikely you'll find a match for the hardware, you'll have to check out companies such as Ball & Ball or Van Dykes who specialize in restoration hardware.
