Entry table with carved legs of egret (?) standing on rams head

Did you ever learn anything about this table?  My friend has a similar one and we had the same questions. Thank You

Just that it was in the family for many years and they brought it to Penna from Chicago. If I find more info I will let you know, as I have just started to research it. A local appraiser looked at it and told me it is very unique and beautiful, but she could not give a value or history. She felt the rams and egrets had a symbolic meaning. I've seen a few of these about, most tend to be late 19th to early 20th Century pieces, so far I've not come across any data as to who made them, but they appear to be American made. At auction they've sold in the $400.00- $900.00 range.

I have one that have egrets on them. The only thing I know is that it came out of New York City about sevety years ago. I have posted asking questions about it as well. If you search for Egret it will come up. Have you found anthing else about your table?
