What a cool piece. It looks like a souvenir from the Mayan Riviera, possibly of the Aztec goddess Coyolxauhqui, although I live in Mexico and neither my partner nor I recognize it as a particular diety. A quick search shows similar ones are for sale for around $15, but the story is so good, I'd not worry about the cash value.
