Do they have France Or Japan on their backs? Porcelian Americana dolls became popular in early 1900s and most were shipped over from either France or Japan. It wasnt until 1930 when USA started manufacturing their own Americaina line and they were actually porcelain instead of bisque. Please dont hold me to this but i own a set of bisque black americana dolls and this is the info i was given. Hope its helpful:)
