Hand painted Nippon Mug - Mission style, Arts & Crafts style

By marymac4105, 25 August, 2013
Description

Bought two of these mugs or cups at an estate sale of former antique store owner. They have the Nippon wreath with the M on the bottom, but I can't tell if it's real or not.

I can't find anything similar on eBay. I did a Google images search and found this pattern listed as a beverage service with a water pitcher and four mugs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are about 4.5 inches high and 4 inches wide at the bottom.

Thanks-

Mary

The stamp looks authentic. I'll try to research and see if it is a fantasy piece or not. If you reply to this I'll get a follow up email so I can find it again. Lol
